Creativity in the Kitchen… As the end of the school year is fast approaching, and if like us, you’ve been puzzling over gift ideas for teachers, why not start in the kitchen.
Since there are only 35 days until Christmas, we felt that festive goodies would be ideal. If you feel that singing along to Last Christmas will help your creativity then we are all for that, a bit of Wham always gets our hips shaking and in the mood for Christmas baking.
Now for an idea… These may be perfect for you and your children to make together, and who doesn’t love home-made cookies!
To make your cookies into Christmas tree decorations, carefully make a hole in the top of the biscuit using a straw before baking them. Sprinkles are great for decorating.
If you’re feeling adventurous try using royal icing and pipe on patterns. Most importantly – have fun!
If you were thinking of putting a little hamper together or perhaps just an alternative to the above cookies, the following items are easy to make and well received. Click on the links below on some great recipes that we enjoy.
- Reindeer bark –Hoosier homemade recipe Our kids love making this with us, they are just too cute to eat!
- Rocky road – lolly shop recipe Different versions available when using this – we love having options.
- Fudge – What’s cooking America recipe – Another recipe that gives storage tips plus variation ideas – bonus!
Want to give the perfect gift? We may just have what you’re looking for! An experience that children will enjoy and cherish the memories made from our cupcake decorating class. Contact us to get your Christmas vouchers now.
